Jata Maccabe

Jata Maccabe is a Senior Consultant and Data Scientist at CGI with over 8 years of expertise in machine learning, NLP, and full-stack development. With a Master's of Data Science in Computational Linguistics from the University of British Colombia and a Computer Science undergraduate degree from the University of New Brunswick, she has developed AI applications ranging from predicting legal outcomes to helping low income tenants navigate the legal system. Now leading AI initiatives at CGI in Atlantic Canada, Jata is passionate about empowering young women to explore nontraditional and interdisciplinary careers in tech.


Katina Papulkas

Katina Papulkas is a Senior Education Strategist at Dell Technologies and is committed to serving students across Canada. Katina is an experienced educator with a background in teaching, leadership, assessment, and educational technology. During her time at Dell, Katina has started up programs such as Girls Who Game, Soar with MENTOR and Data Dunkers to support underserved learners in an empowering and engaging way. She continues to be a Women in AI Fellow as part of the EDSAFE AI Alliance.


Nhu Trieu

Nhu Trieu is the Director of the Microscopy and Microanalysis Facility (MMF) at the University of New Brunswick (UNB). The MMF is an open access, interdisciplinary imaging and analysis platform that provides high-level training, subject matter expertise, and centralized source of institutional and local research ecosystem knowledge over the last 60 years. Nhu is a bioimaging and sample preparation generalist with over 10 years of experience in light and electron microscopy and 15 years of diversified research experience. She oversees operation and strategic development and national/international collaborations for the facility and was awarded 2023 Platform Scientist of the Year by the Canadian Network of Scientific Platforms.
