Jordan Cole | Co-Chair
Jordan is entering her last year at UNBF, majoring in Biology and Mathematics/Statistics. Aside from GSU, she plays tenor saxophone in the UNB Concert Band and is pursuing her honours thesis, which focuses on modelling metastasis as an ecological process. Jordan is very passionate about the GSU mission, especially being a role model for young girls wanting to pursue STEM and fostering more inclusive and supportive environment within the STEM community.

Maryna Myronenko | Co-Chair
Maryna is going into her final year of a concurrent degree in Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of New Brunswick. She is entering her third year with Girls STEM Up, having previously been part of the Creatives Team. She is passionate about fostering inclusive spaces in STEM, combining her technical background and creativity to empower others and inspire the next generation of women in STEM.

Morgan Richardson | Logistics Chair
Morgan is a third year science student at UNBF majoring in Biology-Psychology with a specialization in neuroscience. She is an advocate for women in rural communities interested in pursuing STEM.

Lauren | Logistics Chair
Lauren is a first-year McKin student in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. She recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Honours) and is excited for her research in nutrition at UNB.

Nancy Chahal | Tech Chair
Nancy graduated with a Master's in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick and currently works as a Software Engineer at SpryPoint. With prior experience at UNB and McAfee, she brings over four years of industry expertise.

Beatrice Bromley | Keynote Speaker Chair
Beatrice is a MSc student in the department of Earth Science at UNB; researching processes that occur in the Earth's mantle. She hopes to become a volcanologist one day. As this year's keynote speaker chair, Beatrice is passionate about advocating for women in STEM.

Tushita Govindaraj | Breakout Speaker Chair
Tushita is in her 3rd year of Computer Science at UNB with a passion for technology and community engagement. She enjoys creating innovative solutions and helping others learn and grow. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exploring creative coding projects, and contributing to initiatives that empower others.

Signe Haines | Finance Chair
Signe is in her 3rd year of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick. Over the summer, she worked at an engineering firm, on various sites and learned to use CAD to assist with project design. This will be her second year as the Finance Chair for Girls STEM Up and she is looking forward to being a part of the conference and community again this year!

Ruth | University Delegate Chair
Ruth is a third-year student at UNB pursuing a Biology-Psychology major. She is passionate about the intersection of science and human behaviour. Apart from the GSU executive team, she is the co-campus engagement officer for the reproductive justice society and the event coordinator for the pre-dental club at UNB.

Kanchan | High School Delegate Chair
Kanchan Kumari is an undergraduate student at the University of New Brunswick, pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science. She is currently in her second year of studies and is passionate about technology, programming, and creative problem-solving. Alongside her academics, she is actively involved in student organizations and enjoys opportunities to grow her skills.

Ella | University Delegate Chair
Ella is in her first year in the Bachelor of Health program, specializing in Biomedical Sciences and Health at the University of New Brunswick Saint John. She is super excited to join the GSU and to become part of the community! She hopes to use her passion for STEM to work with nongovernmental organizations to advocate for underserved communities globally.

Marissa | Title Sponsorship Chair
Marissa is our Title Sponsorship Chair and a Second-Year Mechanical Engineering student at UNB. She loves spending time outdoors, whether it's camping, hiking, or playing sports.

Jaden | Small Business Sponsorship Chair
Jaden is a 1st year engineering student considering mechanical engineering. She has attended the GSU conferences since 2022 and is excited to contribute to inspiring others to explore different careers in STEM.

Marion | High School Delegate Chair
Marion is this year's High School Delegate Chair for Girls STEM Up. She is from Saint John, NB. Currently, she is in her 2nd year of Kinesiology Science at UNBF.

Sumou Shawesh | Events Coordinator - Fredericton
Sumou is entering her 3rd year at UNB and is completing a Bachelor's of Science in Biology-Psychology. Alongside GSU, she is also the Co-President of the Biology Society. She is excited to join the GSU executive again this year and to continue to share GU's message!

Hanna | Events Coordinator - UDeM
She is in her 4th year of her Psychology-Biology degree with specialization in Neuroscience at UNB. This past summer, she worked as a cancer research assistant. A former varsity soccer player, she enjoys staying active and spending time with her friends outside of school.

Sarah | Members at Large Chair - Fredericton
Sarah is entering her fourth year of a Bachelor's of Computer Science degree at UNB Fredericton. This is her first year on the GSU executive team and second year with the WiCSE executive team, and has also previously been a part of the GoCodeGirl team!

Deeniti Saha | Events Coordinator - Fredericton
She is a third-year Bachelor of Science student, majoring in psychology with a specialization in neuroscience. Alongside her studies, she works part-time at McDonald's and recently completed a work term with the university's counselling office.

Yasmin | Members at Large Chair - Saint John
Yasmin is a second year Bachelor of Science student at UNBSJ (bio major, chemistry minor). She plans to go to medical school after her bachelor's to (probably) become a paediatrician. She's also this year's UNB SRC Marketing Coordinator and president of the UNBSJ Pre-Med Society.

Charlotte | Events Coordinator - Saint John
She is currently in her 2nd year at UNBSJ working towards her BSs with a major in biology and minor in geology. After her bachelor of science she will be entering the education program to begin her journey as a teacher. She is so excited for this year's conference!

Stephanie | Members at Large Chair - Fredericton
She's in her final year of Nursing and passionate about healthcare, fitness, and research. Outside of school, she loves wrestling and working out, which fuel her drive and discipline. She's always motivated to grow-whether it's through academic research, sports, or exploring new hobbies like violin and horse riding.

Elise is in her second year of Sciences at UNBSJ, majoring in Biology and Psychology. In addition to being a part of GSU this year, she is on the executive team for both the Menstrual Health Society and Global Medical Brigades at UNBSJ. She's excited to continue being involved with this amazing community that empowers women in STEM!

Eva is in her third year of a Bachelor of Science at Mount Allison University. She is majoring in Biopsychology and Minoring in Data Science.

Janna is entering her 3rd year at UNB Fredericton, studying Biology. She loves learning about nature and genetics, and aspires to explore both in her career in research. In her 2nd year with GSU, she is most excited to see how they will grow as an organization so they can reach and impact even more young women.

Sydney is a third year biochemistry student here at UNB. She is very excited to be a part of the exec team for her second year. Her favourite part in Girls STEM Up is all the new connections you make with so many amazing people. Sydney is excited to be back at school to continue on her journey of getting a career in the healthcare system.

Gopika Shrivastav | Marketing Chair
Gopika is currently in her 3rd year of Software Engineering, and wants to pursue meteorology in the future. She absolutely loves sharing a space with women who are as passionate about all things math and science as she is. She hopes to create an inspiring and supportive environment for all women in STEM.

Andrea | Graphic Design Chair
Andrea Leiva is a third year Biology-Chemistry (PhP stream) international student at the University of New Brunswick. She's from Honduras, and came to Canada to pursue her dream of becoming a researcher. She's passionate about nature, wild life, dancing, photo editing, and loves to talk and laugh with her friends. She LOVES everything about science and hopes to empower women in STEM.

She is entering her 2nd year in the Bachelor of Computer Science program and aspires to integrate her technical knowledge with her artistic skills in her future career. This is her first time on the GSU Executive Team, and she is eager to contribute to the team. She looks forward to meeting new people, collaborating with others, and being part of a team that encourages and empowers women in STEM.

Folasewa | Communications Chair
Folasewa (Sewa) is in her 2nd year at UNB, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Her passion for women in STEM comes from her experience of not always voicing her interest in technology as it is not a popular path for women. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her friends.

Tam Minh Nguyen | Merch Chair
Tam Nguyen is a third-year student at UNB Saint John majoring in Communication Studies and Honours English. She just wrapped up her role as Orientation Vice-Chair, and now she is the Social Media Manager for The Baron, where she creates content that connects students with campus news and events. Alongside that, Tam has worked as a Peer Writing Tutor and Teaching Assistant, which has deepened her love for helping others succeed.

Skyla | Partnerships Chair
Skyla is entering her 4th year of Bio-Organic Chemistry at McGill University, though she is originally from Moncton, NB. She hopes to pursue graduate studies in organic chemistry after completing her degree. Alongside her role as Partnership Chair, Skyla serves as Vice-President External for the McGill Student Research Initiative, is a member of the McGill ChemE Car team, and volunteers at the Montreal Chinese Hospital on the weekends. She joined Girls STEM Up to help advocate for women in STEM.

Harshmeet
Harshmeet is a third-year student at Mount Allison University, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Economics. This is her first year joining Girls STEM Up, and she is excited to help lead new initiatives and promote awareness about Girls STEM Up at Mount Allison. She speaks more than two languages and her hometown is the birthplace of Mowgli and The Jungle Book. She also loves collecting hoodies.
